Since
its inception, CTC has been acutely aware that rapid evolution has
always been a key variable inherent to the derivatives industry.
Accordingly, we have committed to make our software agile and adaptive
to handle new products or concepts. We have invested heavily in both
our technological infrastructure and software development, convinced
that superior technology represents a necessary component of today’s
top liquidity providers.
- Our infrastructure
enables us to handle trading in a diverse number of products which
are distinguished by their duration (one-day versus five-year),
their underlying instrument (equity index options versus natural
gas options), and their geographic listing (US indexes versus
foreign indexes).
- While the industry norm
may be months, we are able to initiate trading on new exchanges in
a matter of days - new products in a matter of hours. Current
exchanges include: AMEX, BOX, CBOE, CBOT, CFE, CME, EUREX, ISE and
OneChicago.
CTC’s
technology provides the backbone for our real time risk management
system, playing an integral part of our daily process. Advanced
proprietary systems utilize our unique model as the basis for our risk
management and pricing application. As market conditions change, our
trading systems allow for the immediate identification of profit
opportunities and a real-time risk profile within the 300 (and growing)
products we trade.
- Market changes are
rapidly integrated into valuation models, delivering the most
accurate calculations available at all times.
- The flexibility of this
system allows us to effectively communicate valuable market
information to all our traders around the world on a real-time
basis.
- CTC’s risk management
tools provide unique, customized advantages that packaged
solutions lack. Because of this, we can price complex spreads
faster and with greater certainty than most of our competitors.
- Our developers use
leading edge technologies throughout all of their systems,
focusing on speed and reliability.
