We are seeking a Director who will help our recruiting team transform how we find and hire talent into a competitive advantage. You will work closely with business leaders across Technology, Trading, Financial Engineering and Operations to build and execute strategic staffing plans.

Key Responsibilities

Drives and continuously improves our talent process toward outcomes that unlock innovation by adding key competencies, skills, and diverse perspectives.

Develops team members and helps each person grow their individual careers. Ensures that everyone on the team has an opportunity to do work that energizes them and drives value.

Works across disciplines and functions to build staffing plans that balance the skills and capacity needed today with the strategic capabilities needed in the future.

Helps shape strategy and direction across the firm. Influences HR strategy as well as firm strategy.

Skills and Proficiencies

Possesses outstanding skills and deep experience around the objective assessment of talent. Can identify and clearly describe both talent and potential.

Knows how to mitigate unconscious bias in the selection process, how to connect with diverse talent pools, and has a track record of diverse hiring outcomes.

Capable of driving incremental and continuous improvement. Approaches work pragmatically, and delivers important outcomes.

Is skilled at using feedback loops to drive improvement. Understands how to give and solicit effective feedback, and the important role of data in feedback loops.

Can build broad understanding of staffing and business needs and use it to consultatively influence and drive alignment with business partners. This leads to building deep, trusting, and collaborative relationships.

Understands the value and limitations of team process and consistency. Is able to coach and deeply instill the intent behind process, while leaving flexibility in how outcomes are achieved.

Knows the importance of merciless prioritization and pushback. Balances different needs effectively, and does not allow themselves or their team to become spread too thin.

Can cultivate and bring to bear outside partners and vendors that can help us achieve our goals. Is proficient in deciding how to objectively evaluate the best partners, and in leading the relationship to the desired outcome.

Can clearly articulate their point of view, and is able engage in constructive debate. Influences others and can be influenced by others to incorporate new perspectives and ideas.

Specific experience with talent in highly analytical, technology driven business is preferred.
