The Role
The Director of Finance and Operations, Digital Assets reports directly to CTC’s Senior Director of Finance and Operations. The successful candidate will be hands-on and help build the team to support the accounting and operational environment for CTC’s digital asset business. This role will also play an integral part in working with fellow leaders in the organization in designing and implementing strategies that drive CTC’s growth in the digital asset arena. The finalist can be based in either our Chicago, IL headquarters OR our NY location.
Key Responsibilities

Hands-on role to build out the financial control environment and team for digital asset trading

Work with parent company finance team to ensure digital assets are properly accounted for and reported in consolidated financial statements

Work with internal and external service providers (auditors, administrators, and compliance) to ensure CTC follows the rapidly developing audit and regulatory standards surrounding digital assets

Work with Senior Management to define and capture and report key business and industry comparative metrics

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure important information is well understood and financial data flows appropriately throughout the organization

Support the preparation of financial statements that are subject to external audit

Build relationships in the digital asset community to stay abreast of developments and keep CTC on pace as the industry evolves

Work with technology providers to develop and run a sound financial control framework for accounting and operations
Required Experience and Qualifications

Proven track record of building financial control frameworks

Deep experience with digital assets trading

Practical and theoretical knowledge of derivatives products and trading

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar financial discipline

History of developing healthy and diverse teams where individuals are empowered and engaged to perform their best

Detail oriented, team first manager with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Self-starter with ability to multi-task and work well in fast-paced environment

Excellent verbal and written skills
